Game Of Thrones | Season 6 Trailer Breakdown

I'm sure everybody is already freaking out about the Game Of Thrones Season 6 trailer and why must we not it's such an amazing one! You gotta admire the way they used a cover of 'Wicked Games'for the trailer, it just fits so beautifully. So anyway, without wasting any time I'm gonna do a small breakdown of the trailer for ya'll since I've been studying the whole Song of Ice and Fire universe ever since Season 5 ended. Most of my literature comes from all the song of ice and fire books and the amazingly amazing Word of Ice & Fire book along with other stories like The Hedge Knight and the tales of Ser Dunk & Egg.

First things first, I think all hell is going to break loose as far as Cersei is concerned. I like what she says to Lancel "I choose violence"and then The Mountain (who has been resurrected by Qyburn) emerges. Now remember, Cersei's trial with the faith is still on and it looks like that she will demand a trial by combat against the faith with The Mountain as her champion. It's gonna be interesting to see who the faith's champion will be. There are some theories behind it, I'll post about it later. The beauty about this shot is that you can't really tell what Cersei is thinking. That's the thing about Leana Headey she's such an amazing character that she perfectly portrays the ambiguity of her character where no one can predict what Cersei is upto until she actually says or does something.

The trailer opens with a shot of dead Jon Snow lying at Castle Black after being stabbed by the brothers.Usually the new seasons of GoT opens right with the aftermath of the previous season's finale. So we can expect this to be the first episode.

Next week see a glimpse of Jamie who's back from Dorne and has to inform Cersei about the tragic death of their second child. Little does he know about the Cersei's predicament against the faith. You can clearly see the fury in Jamie's eyes when he says to Cersei that "We will take everything back from them and more". I like that Jamie is back and is super pissed it'll be interesting to see how they team up against the faith in Cerset's trial. I'd like to point out that their relationship in the books is a little more strayed than in the show but probably Dan and Dave want to show them together till a certain point considering they've lost so much recently.

This is The Onion Knight Ser Daavos standing on what looks like the top of the wall and mourning his fallen king Stannis.

This looks like Ramsay confronting his father Roose Bolton and telling him about Sansa & Reek's escape. It'll be really interesting to see how this storyline unfolds. Remember, Sansa was the only way the Boltons could have secured their place in the North. That was the whole point of getting Ramsay married to Sansa in the first place.

It's really difficult to tell who's being made a Tandoor here by the Boltons. It could be one of Stannis' soldiers or someone from a later battle in season 6. We'll have to wait to see that!

Next up we see Melissandre looking dejected and depressed. She's come to realize that all the sacrifices and all her efforts with Stannis have gone in vain. She's gonna need a major indication from the Red God to reinstate her belief in her own faith.

Here we see Jorah and Dario looking for Daenerys and as expcted they find the ring that Daenerys dropped when she was captured by the Dothraki tribe.

Here we see Daenerys being captured by Khal Jacko's khalasar and being taken to Vaes Dothrak which is the capital of the Dothraki lands.

Here's a shot from The Iron Islands that means Welcome back Greyjoys. This seems like the Kingsmoot.

Here's Sansa, it's pretty clear from the trailer that she manages to escape from the Boltons. From her coat it looks like she's somewhere in the North.Probably, she could be with the Umbers. House Umber is a house in the North who are die hard Stark loyals. We could see Small Jon Umber in this season, so let's wait for that.

It looks like Tyrion will incharge of the Small Council in Mereen along with Missandei, Varys and Greyworm in absence of Daenerys. He'll take care of the city while Jorah and Daario are out looking for Daenerys. "The great game is terrifying", so excited to see what's in store in this season as far as Tyrion is concerned!

HOLY FUCKING SHIT THAT IS DROGON BACK IN ACTION!

It's about time that Drogon will lick his wounds and be as fit as before and probably head to Vaes Dotrhak to rescue his dear mommy. According to the World & Ice of Fire, Dragons grow faster and stronger if there are magical activities happening around them. So if as per the popular notion if Melissandre does resurrect Jon Snow the amount of magic that goes on in resurrecting him will probably up the whole magical quotient of all the 7 kingdoms and maybe Daeny's dragon will be stronger than ever.

Personally, the thing that I'm looking most forward to in Season 6 is the faith vs Cersei and how the whole trial will unfold. It's quite obvious that Cersei will demand a trial by combat and her champion will be the Frankenstein version of The Mountain (Robert Strong) see in the Season 5 finale. There's a whole lot of speculation about who the faith's champion is gonna be but I don't wanna spoil anything for you guys so we'll just wait for the show to start.

Here comes my most favourite part of the trailer!

PLEASE OH PLEASE LET THIS BE THE TOWER OF JOY FLASHBACK. For those of you who don't know the Tower of Joy incident- that's the time when young Ned Stark went to the Tower of Joy in King's Landing to rescue his sister Lyanna Stark who was supposedly abducted by Rhaegar Targaryen (Daenerys' brother) and finds her lying in a pool of blood and that's where he finds baby who's supposedly Jon Snow (R+L=J). Ned is accompanied by Howland Reed (Jojen and Mira's father) and is confronted by Ser Arthur Dayne, who was widely known as one of the most fiercest warriors in all of seven kingdoms.

Now this particular is a huge one. This is the first time ever in Game of Thrones that we're seeing the Targaryen Armour ( notice the Dragon sigil on the armour of the man with two swords). Simply because of the reason that ever since the show started there hasn't been any Targaryen army.

This shot here seems like the men of the Night's watch storming in to capture Jon's body. Even though he's dead, bringing people back from the dead is nothing new in the world of ice and fire. Remember in the books, Catelyn Stark is resurrected by Ser Beric Dandarion as Lady Stoneheart. So I won't blame Ser Alisser Thorne and the men of the watch to make sure his body is burned.

Tommen finally seen in some King swag here, which seems like he's facing off against his own mother. I have a feeling little Tommen here is pissed about the fact that Margaery is still incarcerated while Cersei is back at the Red Keep. I'm not sure if he would go against his mother but I really wanna see him assert his own will as the king for once.

Really hard to say who's onboard on this ship but I'm gonna go with my gut feeling and say it's gonna be Theon's uncle, Euron Greyjoy.

Arya here is in a tight spot learning to survive while she's blind. I really hope they don't keep her blind for the whole season because she's gonna kick some serious ass. Arya's badass!

Littlefinger seems like he finally got his ass back in the North, can't wait to see what Sansa does to him when he meets him again. After all he was the one who got her married to that asshole Ramsay.

Margaery looks like she's still in the black cells but finally surrenders to the High Sparrow (next image).

This is definitely some huge ass battle with the Boltons, guessing from the banners. Probably the wildlings against the Boltons.

Theon, I want to believe he's back to Theon, being chased by what looks like a man from the Bolton's army.

This guy here is definitely, Euron Greyjoy being baptized.

"What is dead may never die"

Brienne here is kicking some more Bolton ass, I guess. It's gonna be a bad season for the Boltons, mark my words. I hope she does catch up with Sansa and Theon.

Melissandre, doing her 2nd most favourite thing, looking into the fire. Let's hope for a Melissandre vision because in the books she has POV chapters. So I think it makes sense for Dan & Dave to atleast give her a vision scene in this season.

And here's Melissandre doing her most favourite thing, taking off her robe. Please oh please Melissandre please don't have sex with Jon Snow's corpse.

This one here is a sigh of relief because it's clear that atleast they got his body inside. As I said earlier, the Night's Watch is going to want to burn their fallen leader's body.

That's Yara Grejoy having more fun that most Game Of Thrones fans.

Sweet Jesus, Euron Greyjoy, rainy bridge. This is an indication of something big from the books about to happen here!

This looks like the soldiers from Highgarden trying to take Margaery back. Remember the Tyrells did threaten the High Sparrow so in addition to Cersei vs The Faith there's also the Tyrells vs The Faith.

Dothraki charging, not sure at whom.

Bran in short hair, standing that means this is obviously a vision. Looks like he's standing in the Lands of always winter. Turns around and there's the Night's King all like "Hey Sup Bro" with a regular punk white walker hanging out in the background. And trust me when I say this if there's anyone who's gonna single handedly save everyone's asses during the war for dawn it's gonna be BRAN!

This shot is so heartbreaking, poor Ghost sitting near his dead master. It's almost like Ser Davos is talking to Ghost "Sorry for what you're about to see" he's probably fuck the lives of all the Night's Watch who charge in to snatch Jon's body. Also, that's Longclaw in Davos's hand, Jon's Valyrian Steel sword.

So I hope ya'll enjoyed this little trailer breakdown and you guys are as excited for the new season as I am. I'll try posting on a weekly basis about some more stuff related to the new season and some stuff from the history of Game Of Thrones. Till then, keep a guard on what you do for the night is dark and full of terrors.
